I’m Lucy Tiley (Lucy, she/her) - Clinical Psychologist, and owner of Skylight Psychology, established in 2025. I live and work on Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung country in Naarm/Melbourne, and am also passionate in supporting individuals based regionally and remotely across Australia.
Commencing therapy can often coincide with a time when we are feeling our most vulnerable. I feel deeply privileged to do this work, and I aim to foster a calm and non-judgemental space, where you can feel safe to come as you are.
I’ve worked across a range of mental health settings for the past six years - involving community outpatient sleep clinics, university clinics, private practice, and remote parts of Australia, including working alongside Aboriginal communities across the Central Desert. Currently, I work solely in private practice, following returning from recent years of living, learning, and working on Arrente Country, in Alice Springs (Mparntwe).
Hello, and welcome.
Meet Lucy (she/her) - BSci, BPsych (Hons), MPsych (Clinical), MAPS, MAAPi
About:
I provide evidence-based psychological services to adults and young people (16+) experiencing a broad range of challenges - whether that be a relationship breakdown, university or occupational stress, or in coping with sudden life changes - and also work with various mental health disorders. As I say to my clients, you never have to justify why you are here.
Clients I often work with tend to describe feeling overwhelmed and disconnected, or stuck in recurring life patterns that aren't serving them. After working together, they typically describe feeling more empowered, capable and understood.
Therapeutic style:
My therapeutic style is warm, down-to-earth, and direct. I practice with respect, integrity, and compassion, and take an integrative approach in selecting evidence-based treatments depending on the unique individual, their needs, and preferences. I view therapy as an active process of collaboration between the clinician and client, and encourage clients to recognise their inherent strengths throughout this process. One of my key focuses as a clinician is to ensure I am providing neuroaffirming and trauma-informed care, that is LGBTIQA+ inclusive and culturally-responsive.
You can learn more about the challenges I work with, and treatments that I use on the 'Services' page, to see if we might be a good fit. I offer a free 15-minute call for this purpose, as I understand the importance of finding a good fit. If you'd like to get in touch, please reach out using the 'New Clients' form.
Outside of psychology work, you can find me connecting with loved ones, enjoying being outdoors on some form of trail, cycling, and experimenting with film photography (which you'll see snippets of throughout this website, featuring beautiful parts of unceded palawa and Big River country of Lutruwita/Tasmania).
